Cinevex is a legitimate streaming platform. We take intellectual property rights seriously and comply fully with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent international copyright legislation including the EU Copyright Directive and Nigeria's Copyright Act.
Our Content Policy
All video content on Cinevex comes from one of three legitimate sources:
- Licensed uploads: Films uploaded directly by rights holders through our Filmmaker Portal, hosted on Cloudflare's secure CDN
- Official YouTube embeds: Films officially published by filmmakers and studios on YouTube, embedded with YouTube's standard IFrame API
- Public domain content: Films from the Internet Archive that are in the public domain or released under Creative Commons licences
We do not use, link to, or embed content from piracy sources. If you believe content on our platform infringes your copyright, we take all notices seriously and act promptly.
How to Submit a Takedown Notice
You can submit a DMCA notice in two ways:
- By email: dmca@cinevex.tv
- Online form: Use the submission form below — you will receive a reference ID immediately
Your notice must include all of the following:
- Your full legal name and contact information (email, phone, address)
- If acting on behalf of an organisation, the name of the organisation and your authority to act
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- The specific URL on Cinevex where the content appears
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner
- Your physical or electronic signature
Incomplete notices will not be processed. We will acknowledge receipt of all valid notices within 2 business days and take action within 5 business days.
What Happens After a Valid Notice
Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice we will:
- Immediately remove or disable access to the content in question
- Notify the content uploader (if applicable) that their content has been removed
- Inform them of their right to file a counter-notice
- Send you a reference ID confirming the action taken
Counter-Notice
If you are a filmmaker whose content was removed from our platform in error, you may file a counter-notice by emailing dmca@cinevex.tv with the subject line "Counter-Notice". Your counter-notice must include:
- Your full legal name and contact information
- Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material
- Your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address, or if outside the United States, to any judicial district in which Cinevex may be found
- Your physical or electronic signature
We will process counter-notices within 14 business days.
Repeat Infringer Policy
Cinevex will terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights. Accounts terminated under this policy are permanently banned and their content is removed from the platform.
Response Times
- Acknowledgement of valid notices: within 2 business days
- Action on valid takedown notices: within 5 business days
- Counter-notices: within 14 business days
- General copyright inquiries: within 10 business days
