By accessing or using Cinevex ("Service", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use this Service.

1. Description of Service

Cinevex is a legitimate movie and TV show discovery and streaming platform. We provide access to films through three channels: (1) official YouTube embeds from verified filmmaker and studio channels, (2) public domain films from the Internet Archive, and (3) films directly licensed from independent filmmakers through our Filmmaker Portal. All content on Cinevex is either publicly available through official channels, in the public domain, or licensed directly from rights holders. We do not use or link to piracy sources.

2. User Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your login credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Not sharing your account with others
• Providing accurate information when registering
• Not using another person's account without permission

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms. Account termination results in the permanent deletion of your data.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to scrape, crawl, or extract data from our platform without permission
• Upload malicious code or attempt to breach our security systems
• Use automated bots or scripts to access the Service without authorisation
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Misrepresent your identity, age, or affiliation
• Attempt to circumvent any content access controls or age restrictions
• Use the platform to distribute, promote, or link to pirated content

4. Filmmaker Portal

If you upload content through the Filmmaker Portal, you confirm and warrant that:

• You own or hold all necessary rights to the content you upload
• Your content does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party
• You have the right to grant Cinevex a licence to host, stream, and distribute the content
• Your content complies with all applicable laws

By uploading content you grant Cinevex a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, stream, distribute, and display your content on the platform in accordance with the revenue share arrangement agreed at onboarding. You retain full ownership of your content at all times and may request its removal at any time.

5. Intellectual Property

All films and TV shows accessible through Cinevex belong to their respective rights holders. Our platform design, source code, branding, and original features are proprietary to Cinevex. Movie metadata and images are sourced from The Movie Database (TMDB) under their terms of use. Public domain content is sourced from the Internet Archive under open licences.

6. Content Availability

Cinevex makes no guarantee that any particular film or TV show will be available at any given time. Content availability depends on licensing agreements, platform partnerships, and the continued availability of public sources. We reserve the right to remove any content at any time, including in response to valid legal requests.

7. Advertising

Cinevex displays non-intrusive advertisements via Google AdSense to fund the Service. By using Cinevex you consent to the display of advertisements. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers. Ad personalisation is controlled through Google's standard privacy settings.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive to maintain high availability and accuracy, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 7 days before the changes take effect.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violations of these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time from your Profile settings.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation in the first instance. Where resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be subject to binding arbitration where permitted by applicable law.
