Privacy Policy
What Cinevex collects, why it is used, external services, retention and your privacy choices.

Who is responsible
The Cinevex operator, using the Cinevex / Blezolad brand, is responsible for personal information processed to run this service. Use the contact below with “Privacy request” in the subject. This policy covers cinevex.net and its installed web app, not independent streaming services or other linked websites.
Account information
We process your email, username, sign-in identifiers, profile image where supplied, chosen preferences and security tokens. Password sign-in uses a password hash; Google sign-in supplies the account identity information authorised in that sign-in flow. We do not receive your Google password.
Choices, activity and contributions
Depending on features you use, we store watchlists, progress/history, ratings, reviews, requests, saved searches, discovery shelves, preference and feedback records, shared lists, group-room participation, notification preferences and reports. Country is a viewing preference, not precise GPS tracking. Search-history and app-preference data may also be stored in your browser. If you save a list for offline use, a title-only snapshot stays on that device for up to 48 hours and is cleared on sign-out; another person using that browser offline can view it. A provider-link click is not proof you watched a title.
Technical and support information
Our server and infrastructure process IP addresses, request times, browser/device information and error or security logs to deliver and protect the service. Copyright reports contain the contact details, statements and evidence supplied, and may include the submitting IP address. Support messages and filmmaker submissions contain the information you choose to provide.
Why we use information
We use information to provide accounts and saved features, secure the service, respond to requests, investigate abuse and rights complaints, and meet legal obligations. Where applicable, the bases are performance of the service you request, legitimate interests in security and operation, legal obligations, and consent for optional processing. We balance legitimate interests against your rights. Optional email alerts, product metrics and non-essential cookies have separate choices; you may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Personalisation and AI
Saved preferences, ratings and feedback can influence recommendations when personalisation is enabled. Guest mode ignores saved taste for that search. When AI interpretation is enabled, your natural-language request is sent to Google Gemini to extract search filters. Gemini is not offered to visitors located in the UK, EEA or Switzerland; unknown or unsupported locations use local catalogue interpretation. Location is estimated from the connection IP, not the selected viewing country. On Google’s unpaid API tier, Google may use submitted content and responses to improve its products, including review by human reviewers. Do not include private or sensitive information. Cinevex sends the request text, not your account profile or watch history, for this interpretation; catalogue services may receive title queries and selected country. Avoid including sensitive information in a request. AI output is checked but may still be wrong. We do not use recommendations to make decisions about your legal rights or eligibility for essential services.
Service providers and external content
Hosting and delivery use Hetzner, Cloudflare and related infrastructure; account data uses MongoDB Atlas. Google services support sign-in and Gmail account and confirmed availability emails. TMDB supplies metadata and images; watch availability comes from JustWatch via TMDB. Browser requests for images, optional fonts, embeds or ads expose technical data to their operators. WhatsApp is currently disabled; previously supplied numbers and consent can be removed in Profile. Each external site or player applies its own terms and privacy practices.
Cookies, local storage and advertising
Essential cookies support authentication and security. Local storage remembers app settings, search history, cookie choices and installation preferences. Optional Google fonts and, when configured, Google AdSense load after the relevant choice. Google Analytics is disabled until configured and separately opted into under Cookie choices. If enabled, it receives public-page visit information and technical browser data; Cinevex excludes account pages, search text, query strings and account identifiers from its page-view events. Advertising partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads. Declining optional cookies does not prevent browsing. Use “Cookie choices” below or in the footer to change your choice; declining reloads the page to stop already-loaded optional scripts. Browser controls can clear existing third-party cookies.
Sharing and optional metrics
Private lists become public only when you publish them. People who receive a shared link can copy its contents; making it private stops future access through Cinevex but cannot erase independent copies. Group-room displays are visible to participants. Optional product metrics record limited visit, save, choice and outbound-link events when enabled in My Cinevex; they are not enabled by default. We do not sell account profiles or share account email, saved lists or WhatsApp numbers with streaming providers merely because you select their service.
Retention and deletion
Account and saved-feature data are retained while needed to provide those features, until you remove them or delete the account, subject to applicable legal and security needs. “Not tonight” feedback is scheduled to expire after 12 hours, group rooms after 7 days and optional product events after 90 days; database expiry is asynchronous. Technical caches have separate short retention. Account deletion removes the account and connected discovery records from the live service. Public contributions, copyright/dispute records, security logs and backup copies may require separate handling; contact us for those records. We do not promise that every backup or third-party copy is erased instantly.
Your choices and rights
Use Profile to edit account details, export account data or delete your account; My Cinevex controls discovery preferences. You can also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing where applicable, and withdraw optional consent. We may need proportionate identity verification and may retain information where law requires it. Contact us if an export omits a record you need. You may complain to your relevant data-protection authority, including the Nigeria Data Protection Commission at ndpc.gov.ng.
International processing and security
Our infrastructure and external services may process information outside your country, including on hosting infrastructure in Germany and global service-provider systems. Cross-border processing is subject to applicable law and appropriate safeguards; contact us for details relevant to your data. We use access controls, encrypted connections and other safeguards, but no service can promise absolute security.
Children and updates
Cinevex is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us for review and removal where required. We update this policy when processing changes and provide additional notice or request consent when required. The date above identifies this version.
